Job Description:
MOSAIC Program Assistants work closely with the Coordinator of the Multicultural Center to ensure the success of a variety of campus programs and initiatives. In this position, students gain skills in management, leadership, event planning, and collaboration. Program Assistants also deepen their understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, applying these principles to programming. Successful candidates are passionate about fostering an equitable campus environment and are committed to enriching the experiences of historically underrepresented communities.
MOSAIC Program Assistant Duties:
Maintain a positive, active, and inclusive presence in the Multicultural Center while respecting the rights, perspectives, feelings, and diverse backgrounds of others. Model professional and positive social behaviors, including integrity, punctuality, compassion, openness, and a commitment to learning. Ensure the space remains clean, safe, and welcoming; responsibilities may include cleaning, organizing, and light administrative tasks. Plan and facilitate activities and programs that align with the values of the Center. Engage with visitors, provide support, and create a welcoming environment at the Center. Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings. Work with various student organizations to maintain a robust and diverse schedule of activities. Represent the Center at large-scale campus events, such as Open House, to promote its mission and offerings. May occasionally require evening and weekend hours to ensure the Center remains accessible and meets the needs of students.
Requirements:
Have and maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Be in current, and maintain, good judicial standing with no significant judicial history. Be a current, matriculated student. Comfortable using graphic design software such as Canva.

$16.00/hr
