Job Description

Position Summary:
Is a team member in a residential behavioral health setting, helping to provide a supportive, therapeutic environment for clients in recovery and/or treatment for behavioral health (including SUD) disorders or addiction. Performs duties according to the programs Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to maintain a safe and secure setting for clients and staff within a 24-7 residential program setting. Ensures client needs are met and program protocols are followed at all times. Must be able to cover additional shifts or complete mandatory overtime outside normally assigned schedule when needed.

Monitorclientactivities to ensure program guidelines are followed andappropriateclientcare is providedMakeregularroundsas required by the programof buildings/grounds to ensure safety,securityandoptimalfacility operationsCompletealldocumentation requirementsaccurately and on time,in writing or using computer-based programs or databases,ona daily basis for assignedshifts.

Assistclientsin makingappropriate decisions,recognizebehavior changes andmonitorclient movementDistribution of medications, including monitoring and documenting dosage and scheduleDirect observation ofclientDrug Screens, including UAsConduct searches of clients, includingsame genderpat-downs,clientbelongingsand facilities Provideon-going oversight of client activity Respond to emergencies, which include but are not limited to medical or mental health emergencies, overdose,threatening orviolent behavior,andclient AWOLs.

Manage incidentsusingconflict resolution and crisis management techniquesMaintainappropriate,strictlyprofessionalboundaries with staff and clientsComplete all required training in Core Correctional Practices and apply learning to dailyinteractionsPerform routine non-clinical intake duties asrequiredOperate vehicle to transport clients asrequiredOther duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate level problem-solving skills and ability to multi-taskEffective use of computer and basic data managementfor record-keeping purposesBasic conflict resolution/crisis management skills and techniquesDriving if requiredby program
Job Requirements:
High School Graduate or high school equivalency0-2 yearsofexperienceValid driver license and auto insurance
Essential Functions/Physical Demands:
Positional:
Drivingin accordance withjob duties assigned. Frequent standing and walking. Occasionalsitting.
Gross Mobility:
Rare climbing, or crawling.

Frequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reachingandhandling.

May requireabilityto walk up to 4 flights of stairsconsecutively,depending on location.
Sensory:
Raresmelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional useof farvisual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation.

Frequentto constanttalking/communicating.

Ability tooperatestandard office equipment includingcomputer.
