The Habilitation Training Specialist is to assist in the direction and supervision of all aspects of daily living skills for each resident. He/she should be an example and role model for resident behavior. The Habilitation Training Specialist will assist with composing, organizing and retaining required documentation as directed by the Residential Group Home Manager. The Habilitation Training Specialist will exemplify strong honesty and integrity to maintain the high standards and reputation of Mid-Del Group Home, Inc.JOB DUTIES
Provide accurate and thorough documentation including but not limited to: evaluation of resident progress pertaining to their Individual Plan, medication logs, home logs, behavior logs, incident reports, etc. Assists residents in meal preparation, grooming, clothing care, housekeeping skills and daily living skills as designated by the resident's Individual Plan. The Habilitation Training Specialist should become familiar with the individual need of the residents they serve. Assist with staff shift change briefings, including but limited to: counting medication, petty cash and resident funds, when necessary. The Habilitation Training Specialist will assist in the administration of resident's medication and health care needs, while keeping the Residential Group Home Manager informed on all physical and emotional changes exhibited by the residents. Assists residents in participating in social functions and leisure time activities. Assist in providing transportation as needed for residents. Communicate any physical or emotional changes exhibited by the residents to the Residential Group Home Manager. Assist in maintaining the group home by general cleaning, reporting any maintenance needs to the Residential Group Home Manager. Perform additional duties as requested by Residential Group Home Manager, Program Director or Executive Director.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent CPR/First Aid; Medication Administration Training (training provided) Developmental Disabilities Service Division training as stipulated by State policyTECHNICAL/PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS
