Resident Advisor -Adult Residential Programs Location:
Langhorne, PA (Lower Bucks County) Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available Position Overview Penndel Mental Health Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Resident Advisors to support our Adult Residential Programs in Lower Bucks County. The Resident Advisor plays a vital role in promoting recovery, independence, and overall well-being for individuals receiving mental health services. This position provides direct support, oversight, and guidance to residents while ensuring a safe and structured living environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required FBI Clearance, Criminal History Clearance, and Child Abuse Clearance required Valid driver's license Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability and willingness to learn and implement emergency procedures and crisis prevention/intervention techniques Working knowledge of health and safety practices Key Responsibilities Encourage and motivate residents to develop and utilize their strengths in addressing social, emotional, health, and economic challenges Promote and enhance independent living skills Supervise medication administration in accordance with agency policy Provide crisis intervention when necessary Monitor and assist with residents' medical needs as appropriate Review and remain familiar with each resident's history and individualized treatment plan Plan and facilitate constructive activities tailored to residents' physical and emotional needs, adjusting programming based on individual progress Supervise and assist residents in developing skills related to personal care, hygiene, nutrition, and social interaction Observe resident behavior and report relevant information to the Director of Residential Services Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and licensing requirements Recommend necessary supplies and equipment for residential activities Adhere to the agency's corporate compliance policies Perform related duties and attend required trainings as assigned The Resident Advisor reports directly to the Director of Residential Services. Skills and Competencies Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with residents and colleagues Strong observational skills with the ability to report information accurately and objectively Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to support individuals in developing constructive coping strategies and life skills Physical Requirements Ability to shop for groceries and materials with residents on a one-to-one basis Ability to safely navigate stairs during routine activities and emergency situations Ability to assist residents with carrying groceries, cleaning apartments, and moving l Ability to bend and lift 10 pounds on a regular basis.Job Types:
