Assistant Director of Residential Services Monroeville, PA Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $65,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Working with individuals with developmental disabilities Working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Incident management Regulatory compliance Driver's License Supervising experience Team management Full Job Description Description A Helping Home, LLC is seeking a highly experienced and mission‑driven Assistant Director of Residential Services to support and oversee licensed community homes serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high‑quality, person‑centered services, full compliance with 55 Pa. Code Chapter 6400 and Chapter 6100, strong staff performance, and operational excellence across assigned residential programs. The Assistant Director plays a critical role in licensing readiness, incident management, staff supervision, program growth, and continuous quality improvement. This position is best suited for a seasoned IDD professional with demonstrated success in PA 6400 residential leadership, regulatory compliance, and multi‑site team supervision.
Essential Responsibilities Program Oversight & Regulatory Compliance:
Provide day‑to‑day leadership and operational oversight for assigned Chapter 6400 licensed residential homes Ensure continuous compliance with PA Chapter 6400 and Chapter 6100 regulations , ODP standards, and agency policies Prepare homes for licensing inspections; lead self‑assessments, corrective action plans, and license renewals Support the licensing of new residential homes and service expansions as assigned Serve as liaison with ODP licensing staff, Administrative Entities, Supports Coordination, and other stakeholdersIncident Management & Quality Assurance:
Oversee all aspects of incident management, including reporting, investigation, corrective actions, and trend analysis Ensure incidents are entered, reviewed, and closed timely inHCSIS / EIM
Participate in or conduct investigations; support Certified Investigator processes as required Monitor QA&I processes, quarterlies, exception tracking, and compliance documentation Use data to identify trends, reduce risk, and improve service qualityStaff Leadership & Supervision:
Recruit, onboard, supervise, and evaluate House Coordinators, DSP Leads, and Direct Support Professionals Provide documented supervision, coaching, and performance management Ensure staff training requirements are met, including orientation, annual training, medication administration, and ISP‑related training Plan, facilitate, and document staff meetings; ensure effective communication across programs Support disciplinary actions in collaboration with senior leadership and HR Person‑Centered Services & ISP Oversight:
Ensure assessments, ISPs, ISP annual updates, and ISP revisions are completed in accordance with Chapter 6400 requirements Monitor implementation of Individual Support Plans to ensure services are delivered as written Promote and enforce the principles of Everyday Lives, Normalization, and Positive Approaches Ensure accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and outcomesScheduling, Budget & Operations:
Develop and monitor residential staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage Review and approve schedule changes, timecards, and payroll records for assigned programs Ensure fiscal accountability and budget compliance for residential homes Support service authorization tracking and operational sustainabilityRequired and Preferred Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience (one of the following): Master's degree in Human Services or related field with 5-7 years progressive experience in PA 6400 residential services Bachelor's degree with significant leadership experience in a Chapter 6400 residential setting Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in IDD residential services Demonstrated expertise with PA Chapter 6400 and Chapter 6100 regulations Strong knowledge of ODP Incident Management, investigations, and compliance requirements Proficiency withHCSIS / EIM
systems Experience supervising multi‑site residential programs and staff teams Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License Ability to pass all required background checks and clearancesPreferred Qualifications:
ODP Certified Investigator (or willingness to obtain) Experience opening or licensing new residential homes Medication Administration Trainer (or ability to become certified) Experience with audits, QA&I processes, and regulatory remediation Strong public speaking and professional presentation skillsEqual Opportunity Employer:
