July 1, 2026Job Description:
Position entails working 19 hours a week with the Residence Life program, in the Department of Student Activities. The position involves planning, execution and coverage of the residence halls. Tasks will be varied and diverse in nature, but all are related to the Waynesburg University mission. The graduate assistant will report to the Assistant Dean of Student Services.Duties include:
- Assisting in the planning and execution of residence life programs and activities
- Assist with the submission of maintenance requests in regards to residential facilities
- Assist with the daily operations of a residence hall housing 100-300 resident students
- Attend a weekly staff meeting with Residence Life team and an individual meeting with Assistant Dean to Student Services
- Assist in Residence Assistant Training prior to each academic year
- Assist the housing director as needed with roommate mediation and mid-semester housing concerns
- Coordinate the closing of a residence hall during all established breaks
- On-duty coverage of the residence halls (as needed)
- Student Services Front desk coverage (as needed)
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the University
- Other duties as requested
Job Qualifications:
All interested candidates will need to successfully enroll in a graduate program at Waynesburg University in order to be eligible for the assistantship. Candidates must possess strong organizational, communication and computer skills; the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines; and availability to work evenings, occasional weekends. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and have successfully completed the University's driver's certification course.Application Instructions:
