Aug 14, 2026 Job Description Our Center for Technology, Essex has an opportunity for a full-time program lab assistant to support our Building Technology•Residentail program beginning with the 2026-27 school year. In our Residential Building Trades program, students learn how to build a home from the ground up•constructing a home from foundation to finish, gaining hands-on experience and skills that will last a lifetime. The lab assistant assists the program instructor in the education of students including management of student behavior; record keeping; instructional assistance; classroom and field work/laboratory safety, security, set-up and organization; and interaction and communication with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and other internal and external constituents.
Pay:
23.51+ based on experience EWSD offers excellent benefits including generous paid time off, medical, and dental insurance, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a retirement plan with up to 6% employer contribution. Individual with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply: Two years of experience in building trades, construction or related field Experience working with children/adolescents and adults especially those with special needs or at-risk of dropping out of school Good basic supervisory skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Good planning or organizational skills For additional information, CLICK HERE for a copy of the full job description.
