Through community-based services, supported living, and tailored day programs, we foster independence, inclusion, and meaningful participation in society. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Program Training Coordinator / Outreach Worker to lead community engagement initiatives and support program development efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact by coordinating training activities, managing outreach efforts, and fostering strong relationships within the community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social work, public health, and advocacy, with a talent for leadership and communication. Training Coordination & Event Management Identify and coordinate relevant training topics for families, providers, and DSPs Research, recruit, and communicate with facilitators, presenters, and community experts Coordinate Zoom and in-person trainings, workshops, and educational events Manage training logistics, including scheduling, registration, reminders, materials, and attendance tracking Support setup and facilitation of community trainings and resource fairs Coordinate certificates of attendance and post-training communications Outreach & Community Engagement Attend community events, resource fairs, workshops, and networking opportunities Build and maintain positive relationships with providers, agencies, and community partners Support outreach efforts to increase referrals, awareness, and participation in programs and trainings Represent the organization professionally in community settings Administrative & Program Support Work closely with Program Manager and the EVP on grant deliverables and program initiatives Assist with communication, scheduling, and coordination across multiple projects Help ensure trainings and outreach activities align with organizational goals and grant objectives Qualifications 2+ years of experience in: Program coordination Community outreach Training coordination Social services or nonprofit environments Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Comfortable speaking and interacting with diverse populations Proficiency with: Zoom Microsoft Office Google Workspace Spreadsheets and data tracking systems Preferred Experience working with IDD populations Familiarity with: San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) Grant-funded programs Community-based outreach Event planning or training facilitation Experience with survey tools, polls, or reporting analytics Work Environment Combination of office work, remote coordination, and in-person community events Primarily Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evenings or weekends based on trainings or resource fairs Join us in making a difference!
