Immediately Job Description East Union Community School District is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and organized professional to join our team as a Academic & Student Support Coordinator. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping students navigate the complexities of adolescence while preparing them for post-secondary success. As a vital member of our staff, you will support students' academic, career, and social-emotional development. This role focuses on helping students plan for their futures, providing individual and group support, and collaborating with families and community resources.

Enjoy a consistent three-day weekend to recharge, pursue professional development, or spend time with family, allowing you to bring your best self to our students Tuesday through Friday. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Student Support:

Provide individual and group support for academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs; support students through crisis situations.

Academic Planning:

Guide course selection and long-term planning; monitor graduation progress and manage credit recovery or alternative pathways.

Career Readiness:

Facilitate college applications, scholarships, and financial aid (FAFSA); coordinate job shadowing, internships, and career fairs.

Assessment:

Coordinate and administer standardized testing (State assessments, ACT, PSAT) and interpret results for stakeholders.

Collaboration:

Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents; lead student support teams and participate in IEP/504 meetings. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Education or Related Field

Licensure:

Valid Iowa School Educators license (or ability to obtain).

Core Skills:

Deep knowledge of adolescent development, strong organizational skills, and a high standard for confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred:

Experience in a secondary setting and familiarity with Iowa graduation requirements. Compensation & Benefits Salary based on the district's negotiated agreement and experience level. Participation in IPERS retirement system.

Work-Life Balance:
