CRSS/PRSS
certified, or working towards certification. Person with lived experience. He/She would adhere to

Code of Ethics. As a recovery coach, your primary responsibility is to assist individuals in their recovery journey from substance use challenges. You will be responsible for offering support, guidance, and encouragement to help clients maintain their definition of sobriety and make positive lifestyle changes. You will help people identify and navigate the necessary resources and recovery supports. One year of continuous personal recovery preferred. Duties and Responsibilities To provide person-centered, ongoing guidance, coaching and support. To provide training on how to navigate and access community resources. Assist in developing formal and informal community support. Assist the person in building social support networks of relatives, friends and/or partners. To offer encouragement in times of crisis and stress to eliminate potential barriers to one's ongoing recovery. To advocate on behalf of persons with behavioral health challenges to protect the client's rights and to assist in reducing associated stigma. To participate in required staff meetings, supervisions and training needed as deemed by Clinical Director. To clearly and accurately document individual and group peer support activities. To perform other related duties as assigned, including tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job. Complete necessary intake paperwork to determine what supports and services applicants are seeking. Supporting, motivating, and advocating for individuals seeking or actively in recovery from substance use challenges. Assisting with daily activities. Helping with life management tasks. Leading a SMART Recovery group (training provided) Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Outreach one day a week with these

DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake , McHenry, Will Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
Active reflective listening, ability to engage and motivate, de-escalation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use analytical software. Ability to use calendar and scheduling software. Experience using desktop computers, copier, and fax machine. Experience using electronic mail software. Must have strong collaboration skills and the ability to work and travel to multiple sites in the course of each week if required. Knowledgeable of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. Attend in-service and other training events to continue education and expand knowledge to improve the quality of patient services. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Leadership skills are necessary to ensure program development. Ability to adapt to changing situations and tasks as they come up.
