THE HIVE
Recovery Hub is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and nonjudgmental Outreach Worker to provide direct street outreach services throughout Tippecanoe County. This position focuses on building trust with vulnerable populations through community engagement, wellness education, distribution of safer-use and wellness supplies, overdose prevention education, and connection to recovery and support services. Outreach occurs in parks, encampments, hotels, shelters, public spaces, neighborhoods, and other community settings where individuals may face barriers to traditional services.Hours:
Tuesday 9-3 Wednesday 10-12 Friday 1-3 Responsibilities Conduct street outreach throughout Tippecanoe County Build trusting and respectful relationships with individuals experiencing substance use, homelessness, mental health challenges, and other barriers Distribute safer-use kits, hygiene supplies, food, clothing, seasonal items, and wellness resources Provide overdose prevention education and community safety information Connect individuals to treatment, recovery support services, healthcare, housing resources, transportation, and community programs if needed Assist with referrals, applications, and warm hand-offs to community providers Maintain accurate outreach notes, supply tracking, and documentation Collaborate with healthcare providers, shelters, first responders, and community organizations Respond calmly and professionally in crisis or high-stress situations Participate in trainings, outreach events, and team meetings Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical boundaries at all times Qualifications Passion for serving vulnerable and underserved populations Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSS) preferred or willingness to obtain certificationPay:
