  • Floating Birthday Home of New Vision is a substance use disorder treatment and recovery services provider with locations in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Jackson, Michigan.
We seek Recovery Coaches with lived experience to be part of a Recovery Community Organization (RCO). Washtenaw Recovery Advocacy Project (WRAP) provides community outreach and engagement, peer coaching, recovery events, and other activities to promote recovery and end stigma and shame. WRAP Coaches have the freedom to create and facilitate meetings for which they have passion, based on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, such as Yoga in Recovery, Basketball in Recovery, Recovery Book Club, etc... We create opportunities and encourage those in any stage of recovery to stay connected through volunteering with WRAP. In this position, you will be doing a mix of the following: Job responsibilities include: Facilitate recovery wellness meeting in accordance with the 8 Dimensions of Wellness Facilitate recovery meeting in accordance with multiple pathways to recovery. Promote and market events in the community and on social media Managing volunteers Conduct community outreach to assist individuals seeking support for their SUD. Conduct community education in relation to stigma reduction and overdose education at our partner locations. Help plan and execute recovery events, workshops, and outreach pop-ups. Work with both internal and external stakeholders to promote recovery and educate on multiple pathways. Data tracking via Teams Ideal candidates will be able to: High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Valid Drivers License Required
  • Reliable Transportation Required
  • Preferred 2 years of continuous recovery from a substance use disorder Experience with Outlook, Teams, and Excel Share their lived experience in front of an audience Create, plan, and execute large community events Create and manage social media content Self-starter; motivated Ability to work independently and within a team setting Be reliable Lift 50 lbs Must have a good grasp of grammar/punctuation/spelling and the writing skills required to create and manage social media content that is engaging, impactful, and original Be willing to occasionally work weekends or evenings to attend/work outreach events Preference is for people who live within
