RESIDENT SERVICES ASSISTANT
Compensation:
$18.44 per hour ($27,704.40 annually) - $22.68 per hour ($39,509.32 annually) Starting wage for this position will be $18.44 per hour .

POSITION FUNCTION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Deputy Director, the Resident Services Assistant is responsible for handling and processing inquiries at the front desk according Albuquerque Housing Authority (AHA) practices and procedures. The Resident Services Assistant utilizes a client centered approach while ensuring that documents submitted to the front office are reviewed for completeness, tracked, logged, and routed to the appropriate staff while also maintaining the lobby area with up-to-date outreach and informational materials. The Resident Services Assistant will also actively support Section 8 and Public Housing staff to implement efficient quality application, intake, and recertification processes in accordance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, AHA policies, and best practices in support of AHA community outreach and service coordination efforts.
Education and Experience:
Required:
High school diploma or GED Two (2) years of progressively responsible customer service experience
Preferred:
2 years' experience working with low-income vulnerable populations

Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures and federal documents. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, contractors, supervisors, co-workers, residents, and city/county agencies.
