Manage a home visiting caseload, with direction and support from program supervisor. Responsible for outreach activities, coordina- tion of services of families, and assistance with specific health care, social, educational and employment activities and referrals. Or- ganize schedule with the supervisor to accommodate needs of families and program requirements. Work assignments are directed by the Senior Public Health Aide. Does related work as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS
• Knowledge of infant and child development Ability to establish trusting relationships Willingness to engage in building reflective capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.) • Acceptance of individual differencesPREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, college coursework preferred. Experience in working with or providing services to children and familiesSPECIAL REQUIREMENT
At time of appointment and throughout employment: Valid NYS driver's license. Successful clearance from the State Central Registry in the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (Background investigation is conducted by the appointing authority).
