Position Summary:

To provide substance abuse and gambling education to Suffolk County Schools and Community Organizations to prevent the escalation of the addictive disease process.

Essential Accountabilities:

ADMINISTRATION

Report statistical information and complete necessary reports to OASAS and agency Develop presentations to be used for community education Attend community events as needed

OPERATIONAL

Deliver presentations to community organizations/events regarding warning signs of abuse and overdose Implement Model programs in Suffolk County School districts at various grade levels. Provide in service trainings as requested by agency staff Respond to requests for information about substance abuse, gambling and overdose Job Qualifications High School Diploma, with experience in addiction field, CASAC OR CPP certification preferred. Must have valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and a willingness to travel.

$21.00 - $22.28 per hour
