Independent Contractor Position Overview:
Cambridge Network is seeking a dedicated and proactive Local Support Coordinator to serve as a vital link between our international students and their host families. This role is responsible for ensuring student well-being, supporting host families, and strengthening our local presence through regular check-ins, event planning, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a flexible, community-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Regular Duties:
Conduct mandated in-home check-ins for students throughout the academic year: o
New Students:
Three visits per year (one within 30 days of arrival, one persubsequent semester). o
Returning Students:
One visit per semester. Prepare and submit detailed check-in reports meeting company standards within 72 hours of each student meeting. Plan, organize, and execute two in-person student events per school year. Attend and actively participate in required monthly virtual staff meetings and training sessions. Additional Duties (As Assigned & Pre-Approved): Support local host recruitment efforts by distributing flyers and representing Cambridge Network at community events Conduct in-person site visits for newly recruited host families. Perform in-person home verifications for existing host families. Provide urgent and emergency support to students and host families as situations arise.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in student support, social work, education, or a related field is highly desirable. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural sensitivity and empathy. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be willing to conduct home visits. Proficiency in basic computer applications and timely report writing. Must pass a background check.

From $20.00 per hour
