The Pennsylvania Governor's Office of General Counsel (OGC) seeks a licensed attorney to advise the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) with respect to legislative, regulatory and Right-to-Know Law matters. The position will be classified as either an Attorney 1 or 2 depending upon the level of relevant experience possessed by the successful applicant. The position is based in Harrisburg. This position is eligible for part-time telework with an in-office requirement of three business days per week.
What You'll Do:
This position offers a professionally rewarding opportunity well suited for newly admitted attorneys and recent law school graduates preparing to begin their legal careers. The successful applicant will work closely with senior-level colleagues to assist in providing legal advice and counsel on legislation, regulations, and Right-to-Know Law requests and appeals.

Qualifications:
Applicants must:
  • Hold a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school (or graduate by May 2026); and
  • Be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in good standing, or plan to sit for the Pennsylvania or Universal Bar Exam by July 2026.
