Job Summary Requires insight into the behavioral sciences and specific training in client care; supervise the self-administration of medication, monitors client's compliance with program rules, provides transportation and crisis interventions. Work requires basic concern for quality of care, maintain a professional relationship with all residents while helping the individual in their recovery, empathetic and belief in human potential for growth, as well as a willingness to coordinate and work cooperatively with others. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides operational support to residents in the facility and provides client-support to clinical staff. Cooperates with other shift personnel to ensure smooth operation of residential facility and ensures safety of residents and security of building during shift. Monitors client self-administration of medications and accurately documents each transaction. Follow medical order by the medical staff regarding client medication. Provide trauma informed care to clients and performs crisis intervention, conflict resolution when in need. Reports all problems to Supervisor. Assists staff members to deliver services, facilitation of assigned group activities (life skills, exercise, sports, etc.), document group as directed and within regulatory time frame. Responsible for remaining awake and watchful throughout the shifts. Conducts checks on clients during normal day hours and when clients are sleeping by completing client roster periodic checklist to verify clients whereabouts. Wakes up clients at appropriate times as designated and ensures that they are dressed, have eaten, and completed clean-up and other duties. Provide transportation services to participants or as assigned by immediate supervisor. Maintains good work habits through timeliness and low absenteeism. Required/Preferred Education and Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certification One year experience in drug abuse treatment setting and proficient in computer skills including knowledge of a word processing program and a spreadsheet program. Any combination of education and experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
