Position Overview:
The Resident Services Assistant is a versatile team member responsible for enhancing the daily living experience of residents by providing support across multiple departments within the community. This position serves as a valuable resource to residents and staff by assisting with hospitality services, housekeeping tasks, dining support, activities, resident engagement, and general community operations. The Resident Services Assistant responds to resident requests, assists with non-clinical tasks, escorts residents throughout the community, supports resident activities, and helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized environment. This role works closely with caregivers and other departments to improve efficiency, enhance customer service, and ensure residents receive timely assistance while allowing caregivers to focus on direct resident care needs. The Resident Services Assistant plays an essential role in supporting residents' comfort, independence, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows: Other duties may be assigned. Resident Support Assisting residents with simple technology (TVs, remotes, phones, tablets) Delivering mail and packages Providing companionship and social engagement Assisting residents with room organization and light tidying Escorting residents to meals Answering the call pendants when caregivers are busy, assisting with resident's requests within their scope. Delivering and picking up resident room trays. Housekeeping & Laundry Support Making beds and changing linens on resident laundry day Assisting with personal laundry Organizing laundry rooms and linen closets Reporting maintenance or housekeeping concerns Activities Support Escorting residents to activities Encouraging resident participation Front-Line Customer Service Greeting visitors and families Answering resident questions Following up on resident requests Providing excellent customer service throughout the community Running errands within the building
Qualifications:
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D) preferred. Obtain a food workers card.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and follow instructions, warnings, and procedure manuals; ability to follow work directions and assignments; ability to record notes, as needed. Ability to understand how to mix cleaners for proper use.
