Job Description
Note - this position is for a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Family Education Program Lead at Washington State Community Connectors ; CL Strategic, a consulting firm, is facilitating the hiring process.

Executive Director (Day to Day Operations and Job Function) Administrative Director (Reporting/Deliverables) About WSCC Washington State Community Connectors (WSCC) envisions a future in which families statewide are educated and empowered, and have access to what they need within their own communities. Our mission is to unite Washington State family leaders in behavioral health care to strengthen children, youth, families, and community partnerships. Position Summary The SUD Family Education Lead provides training and education to the community regarding how to support a loved one experiencing a substance use disorder. This role also supports the consistency and quality of SUD Family Education services by offering guidance to trainers, assisting with training development, and coordinating training-related information and reporting. Job Responsibilities Provide training and education to individuals, families, and community members on substance use disorder and family support strategies. Assist in onboarding and training of SUD Family Education Trainer candidates as needed. Offer guidance, support, and training resources to SUD Family Education Trainers to promote consistency and quality of service delivery. Provide feedback on training delivery and identify opportunities for improvement in content or approach. Track completion of required notes and contract-related deliverables and communicate status updates or gaps to the Administrative Director. Compile and organize training data and information for reporting purposes. Support the Administrative Director in preparing reports by gathering and summarizing relevant training data. Duties/Responsibilities Assist in the development and refinement of training courses and materials for workshops, groups, and one-on-one sessions. Assess participant learning and engagement during trainings and adjust delivery methods as appropriate. Maintain accurate records of completed trainings and participant information. Execute other SUD Family Education duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Minimum Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software. Ability to lead and inspire others. Willingness to give and receive feedback related to performance, process, and productivity. Nimbleness to adapt and pivot as needed within the ever-changing landscape of the role. Education Requirements High School Diploma, or GED. Other Job Requirements A willingness to learn about one's own prejudices and biases. An ability to work toward equal status relationships with people who are different. An ability to question personal assumptions about the skills and competencies of the employees, and community, who are different. A desire to learn as much as possible about how one's own culture is different from others, and how that contributes to a particular way of reviewing self and others. An ability to take risks to communicate with people from other cultures and backgrounds. An ability to learn from mistakes made in trying to communicate with people of other cultures and backgrounds. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Personal or professional experience in anti-oppression work.
