Job Description

Summary The After School K-12 Director is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of high-quality after school programs serving students in K-12 grade. This role ensures a safe, engaging, and enriching environment that supports students' academic, social, and emotional development while aligning with school district goals and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Management Design, implement, and evaluate after school programs for K-12 students Ensure programs align with educational standards, district priorities, and youth development best practices Develop schedules, curricula, and enrichment offerings (academic support, arts, STEM, athletics, social-emotional learning) Monitor program quality and student outcomes Staff Supervision & Development Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate after school staff Provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance feedback Ensure proper staff coverage, timekeeping, and compliance with labor regulations Student & Family Engagement Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all students Communicate regularly with families regarding program expectations, schedules, and student progress Address student behavior concerns using restorative and developmentally appropriate practices Operations & Compliance Ensure compliance with district policies, state licensing, safety regulations, and funding requirements Maintain accurate records, attendance data, and program documentation Coordinate transportation, meals/snacks, and facility usage as needed Budget & Grant Management Develop and manage program budgets Track expenditures and ensure fiscal responsibility Support grant reporting, data collection, and compliance (if applicable) Collaboration & Partnerships Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and community partners Build partnerships with enrichment providers and local organizations Represent the after school program at meetings, events, and district initiatives Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience working with K-12 students in after school, education, or youth programs At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience Strong knowledge of youth development principles and program management Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
