Unit Discharge Manager (26141337)
Position Title:
Unit Discharge Manager - (26141337) The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Unit Discharge Manager at Montana State Hospital. This position is responsible for overseeing discharge planning activities and for ensuring that each patient receives person-centered aftercare planning. The Unit Discharge Manager supervises the Behavioral Health Care Planners on the assigned unit and serves as a leader in coordinating safe and appropriate transitions from the hospital to community settings. Qualifications for thisCareer Opportunity:
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills (verbal and written). Understanding of individual and team-based treatment approaches for mental health disorders. Knowledge of professional, ethical, and evidence-based standards in behavioral healthcare. Effective interviewing and information gathering skills. Ability to analyze, assemble, and communication information clearly. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work. Meet the following minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field required, master's degree preferred. 2 years' manager/supervisory experience required. Certification or licensure appropriate to the individual's clinical background preferred. 2 years' experience working with SDMI adults preferred.
