Program Director, Social and Human Services Technology Location Lumberton, NC Job Type Full-Time Faculty Job Number 00231 Department Instruction and Support Services Opening Date 03/26/2026 Closing Date 4/10/2026 5:00 PM Eastern Description Benefits Description Program Directors are professional educators who provide administrative leadership for programs in their assigned department and ensure a quality learning experience for students in these programs. Program Directors plan, promote, and teach appropriate courses while also overseeing curriculum planning, scheduling, and institutional assessment for programs in the area of supervision. This position also collaborates with personnel in Student Support Services to support recruitment, retention, and completion efforts. Detailed Work Activities The Program Director has the following duties and responsibilities: Curriculum and Instruction Provide effective instruction via planning, presenting, and assessment Recommend and manage changes to programs of study or the addition of local diplomas and certificates within the programs via the College's curriculum approval processes Maintain and manage articulation agreements with senior institutions and continuing education credits Develop, with faculty, program-level competencies that outline expected student learning outcomes, program outcomes and administrative outcomes by oversight of each program's Outcome Assessment Plan (OAP). Ensure adequacy of instructional materials and syllabi provided in classes offered within the department Review all courses in the LMS for compliance with the LMS rubric and Department of Education (DOE) guidelines. Develop class schedules cooperatively with other departments of the college for approval by the Dean Provide timely and accurate reporting as required by the College, including 10% reports, grade reports, and LMS stats. Management Recommend and collaborate with program advisory committee members to maintain industry standards and ensure program relevance to employers in the service area. Complete Program Reviews, analyzing data and utilizing input from program faculty, advisory committee members, and students Onboard, supervise, and support full and part-time faculty in implementation of effective instructional practices Evaluate all faculty within the program(s)in accordance with the College's faculty evaluation policies and procedures Coordinate success and retention strategies with the appropriate instructional or student services staff to maximize student success, retention, completion, and career placement Recommend and monitor a departmental budget, coordinate bids for instructional equipment, and comply with Fiscal Management System policies and procedures set forth for the College Serve on college committees as assigned Participate in the marketing of the College programs and the recruitment of students Participate in professional development courses, workshops, and conferences to enhance leadership, instructional quality, and maintain certifications appropriate to the field Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate Dean, Vice President, and/or the President of Robeson Community College. Qualifications The Program Director must meet the following minimum qualifications: Education A Master's Degree in Health and Human Services or Social Work, or a Master's Degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in one of the above disciplines Knowledge, Skills and Abilities At least three years of post secondary teaching experience Robeson Community College offers a complete benefits package to full-time employees including: Health Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental, Vision, retirement, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave.
