The QP ensures services are delivered according to person-centered principles, Medicaid guidelines, agency policies, and best practices in behavioral health care. The QP works collaboratively with individuals, families, treatment teams, and community providers to promote recovery, independence, and overall wellness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and oversight to Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS). Ensure services are delivered in accordance with NC Medicaid requirements, service definitions, and documentation standards. Conduct assessments and participate in person-centered planning. Develop, review, and monitor individualized service plans and recovery goals. Monitor client progress and ensure services address identified mental health needs. Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary. Coordinate care with community agencies, healthcare providers, and support systems. Review service documentation for quality, accuracy, and compliance. Assist staff with problem-solving, skill-building strategies, and resource linkage. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations. Ensure individuals have access to community resources, housing supports, employment services, educational opportunities, and healthcare services. Monitor outcomes and make recommendations for service modifications when needed. Complete all required reports and administrative duties within established timelines. Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for peer support staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a human services field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Sociology, etc.) plus 1 year of full-time

experience with the population served. Bachelor's degree in a human services field plus 2 years of full-time
MH/DD/SU
experience with the population served. Bachelor's degree in a non-human services field plus 4 years of full-time
MH/DD/SU
experience with the population served. Individuals who hold a professional license, provisional license, certificate, registration, or permit in a human services profession may also qualify under specific state regulations.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel within the community to meet with individuals and providers. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment. Ability to transport and accompany individuals to community appointments when required.
Supervision:
The Qualified Professional reports to the Clinical Director, Program Manager, or designated supervisor and provides oversight to Peer Support Specialists and other assigned staff.

From $20.00 per hour
