Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Licensing Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with licensing standards and regulations related to child welfare, social work, and childcare services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the well-being of children and individuals with developmental disabilities by managing licensing processes, coordinating with various agencies, and maintaining meticulous records. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help foster safe, nurturing environments for those we serve. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the licensing application process for childcare facilities, child protective services programs, and adoption agencies. Coordinate with state and local licensing agencies to ensure timely renewals, compliance updates, and documentation submissions. Maintain accurate records of licensing statuses, inspections, and compliance reports. Collaborate with social workers, child welfare professionals, and service providers to facilitate licensing requirements and address any issues promptly. Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to licensing standards related to child protection, developmental disabilities support, and child welfare policies. Assist in preparing documentation for licensing inspections and respond effectively to any deficiencies or corrective actions required. Support staff training initiatives on licensing regulations, child safety protocols, and best practices in childcare and social work. Experience Proven experience working within child protective services or child welfare programs. Knowledge of licensing regulations related to childcare, adoption, and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Familiarity with social work practices, child safety standards, and child development principles. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple licensing processes simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for liaising with government agencies, service providers, families, and team members. Experience in recordkeeping, compliance monitoring, or administrative roles within social services is highly desirable. Ability to interpret regulatory language clearly and ensure organizational adherence to all licensing requirements.
