Peer Support Specialist (Flexible Day & Overnight Coverage) Reset Wellness & Recovery Phoenix, AZ Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $23.95 - $28.84 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Recovery peer support High school diploma or GED Driver's License First Aid Certification Full Job Description Position Overview Reset Wellness & Recovery is seeking a dedicated and dependable Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery support services within our behavioral health and recovery programs. This role requires flexibility to work both daytime OR overnight shifts as needed. The ideal candidate is passionate about recovery, accountability, client engagement, and helping individuals maintain stability while working toward their personal goals. Essential Responsibilities Conduct routine wellness and safety checks with clients in residential and outpatient settings. Provide peer-based recovery support through encouragement, mentorship, and lived experience. Assist clients with maintaining accountability to treatment plans, appointments, medications, and recovery goals. Monitor client well-being and report concerns to clinical and supervisory staff. Support crisis prevention through early identification of concerns and appropriate intervention. Assist with transportation coordination, community resources, and recovery-oriented activities. May facilitate groups. Document client interactions and services accurately and timely. Maintain professional boundaries while fostering positive therapeutic relationships. Encourage participation in treatment services, support groups, employment, education, and healthy lifestyle activities. Assist with maintaining a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment. Schedule Requirements Flexibility is required. Candidates must be willing and available to work a combination of: Day shifts Evening shifts Overnight shifts Weekends This position is ideal for someone who understands that recovery support extends beyond traditional business hours and who is committed to being present when clients need support most. Minimum Qualifications Arizona Certified Peer Support Specialist Certification required (or ability to obtain certification). High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of recovery principles and behavioral health services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, sober living, or residential settings. Experience conducting wellness checks and supporting individuals in early recovery. Familiarity with AHCCCS and community resources. CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
