Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

Responsibilities Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteers through outreach efforts including campus recruitment and community events Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to prepare volunteers for hospice care responsibilities Supervise and support volunteers, providing ongoing coaching, recognition, and development opportunities Coordinate volunteer schedules to meet patient needs while maintaining flexibility for volunteers' availability Manage volunteer records using systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge to track hours, activities, and feedback Facilitate effective communication between volunteers, staff, patients, and families through public speaking and social media management Lead volunteer meetings and training sessions to promote engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement in service delivery Experience Proven experience in volunteer management or social work within healthcare or community settings Strong leadership skills with prior supervisory or team management experience Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge for recordkeeping and reporting Excellent public speaking abilities to conduct training sessions and community outreach events Background in campus recruitment, social media management, or public relations is highly desirable Demonstrated skills in recruiting, onboarding, and developing volunteers or staff members Experience with social work practices related to hospice or end-of-life care is a plus This role is ideal for motivated professionals passionate about making a difference through leadership in volunteer services.
