Job Description

About PCIRC Plumas Crisis Intervention & Resource Center (PCIRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the rural, frontier communities of Plumas and Sierra Counties in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California. For 40 years, we have been the safety net for the region's most vulnerable populations providing crisis intervention, shelter, substance use disorder services, and housing support. Our mission is to offer individuals and families the opportunity to live to their own potential and be treated with dignity and respect. About the CASA Program PCIRC's CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers who advocate for children involved in the foster care and dependency court systems. CASA volunteers are often the most consistent adult presence in a child's life during an incredibly difficult time and the Volunteer Coordinator is the person who makes that possible. Position Overview The CASA Volunteer Coordinator provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers, ensuring that children in the program receive sound advocacy and timely permanency planning. This position is responsible for the full volunteer lifecycle; recruitment, screening, training, case assignment, supervision, and ongoing support as well as maintaining program compliance with grant requirements. This is a meaningful, relationship-driven role that sits at the intersection of child welfare, community engagement, and program coordination. The right candidate is organized, people-oriented, and deeply committed to advocating for kids. Location PCIRC Main Office, Quincy, California. This is an in-person position. Some travel within Plumas County required, including court appearances.
