$60,000+ (Experience Based)
Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday 2pm-10pm | Includes evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities

CSI is seeking dependable, collaborative, and service-oriented professionals who are passionate about supporting youth and families in our community. About the Role As a Shelter Supervisor , you will provide leadership, operational oversight, and staff support within our Emergency Shelter program. This position is responsible for supervising Youth Care Specialists and Lead Youth Care Specialists while helping maintain a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment for youth receiving services. This role supports shelter operations, staff development, program implementation, and collaboration with families and community partners.
Responsibilities may include:
Coordinating and overseeing daily shelter operations and programming Supervising, coaching, and supporting Youth Care staff Assisting with onboarding, scheduling, supervision, and performance management activities Reviewing and approving staff timesheets and scheduling needs Supporting compliance with licensing, accreditation, contractual, and agency requirements Collaborating with probation officers, caseworkers, therapists, medical providers, schools, and families Participating in family team meetings and discharge planning efforts Supporting implementation of trauma-informed programming and structured activities Assisting with crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts Supporting data collection and continuous quality improvement initiatives Participating in staff meetings, trainings, and agency initiatives Assisting with operational and supply coordination as needed What Makes CSI Special At CSI, you will be part of a mission-driven organization that values: Professional growth and leadership development Collaboration and teamwork Trauma-informed and relationship-centered care Meaningful work that positively impacts children and families Supportive leadership and ongoing learning opportunities Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who: Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and reliability Communicates effectively with youth, families, and team members Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills Maintains appropriate professional boundaries Supports a safe, respectful, and structured environment for youth and staff What You'll Receive CSI offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation and sick time accruals 10 paid holidays per year 401(k) match up to 5% with immediate vesting Referral bonuses Tuition reimbursement Discounted on-site childcare tuition Paid birthing leave up to 6 weeks Paid non-birthing leave up to 2 weeks Opportunities for professional growth and advancement
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with program and licensing requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth in crisis and/or families in a human services setting Valid driver's license with no more than 3 points on driving record Proof of insurance meeting agency requirements Ability to complete required agency trainings, including defensive driving and crisis intervention training
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field Experience working within residential care, shelter, or behavioral health environments Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience Knowledge of trauma-informed care, youth development, and behavior management practices Physical & Work Environment Requirements This position works in shelter, office, and community-based settings. The work environment may range from routine daily activities to high-stress crisis situations.
The position may require:
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and lifting during assigned duties Ability to safely perform CPI-approved physical interventions as trained and required by the role Ability to remain alert and engaged throughout assigned shifts, including extended shifts when necessary Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to safely operate a vehicle when required for agency business Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts based on operational needs Exposure to moderate to occasionally loud environments and potential exposure to bodily fluids while following universal precautions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
