Optimae LifeServices is hiring full-time or part-time Direct Support Professionals for our Des Moines Community program. Applicants should be caring, creative, and passionate about working with people experiencing Mental Illness, Intellectual, and/or Developmental Disabilities. If you want more than a job, join our team where you can make a difference by assisting in teaching life skills and advocating for individuals in a community-based setting.
Schedule:
We have day-shifts available Monday through Friday as well as part-time weekend hours and some evening shifts with flexible hours. We value a work-life balance; each month Optimae collaborates with staff to create their weekly schedule. Staff are able to communicate scheduling needs and can identify needed days off. What You'll Do Provide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication, socialization and daily living skills Implement individual's care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to Service Coordinator Assure timely and accurate documentation What You'll Need Must be at least 18 years old Must pass criminal background checks Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to provide transportation in personal and/or company vehicles Basic computer skills to complete required documentation and online trainings Good oral and written communication skills and have the ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services provided.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
