at Gem State Staffing in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Gem State Staffing is hiring a Housing Specialist for a local company that assists individuals and families who have been displaced due to fire and water damage. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, organized, and passionate about helping others find safe, stable housing during difficult times. What You'll Do As a Housing Specialist, you will work directly with clients, landlords, community partners, and service providers to secure temporary and long-term housing solutions. You'll play a vital role in helping families rebuild their lives while managing a fast-paced caseload. Responsibilities Conduct client assessments to determine housing needs and program eligibility. Assist clients with housing applications, lease agreements, and required documentation. Build and maintain positive relationships with landlords, property managers, and community agencies. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records. Monitor client progress and provide ongoing case management support. Advocate for clients and help remove barriers to obtaining stable housing. Ensure compliance with company policies, funding requirements, and applicable regulations. Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining exceptional customer service. Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong attention to detail in every client interaction. Qualifications Previous experience in housing services, case management, social services, or a related field preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required.
