Join our dedicated team as a Housing Specialist I and play a vital role in supporting the effective administration of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. In This Role, You Will:
Manage participant caseloads, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications and recertifications Assist with lease-up procedures, including coordinating between participants, landlords, and program staff Conduct eligibility determinations and rent calculations in compliance with HUD regulations and association policies Maintain detailed and accurate records of participant files, transactions, and program documentation Ensure all program activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational procedures Perform other job duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in housing assistance programs or social services is a plus
