Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of patients and their families during challenging times. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead volunteer programs, foster community engagement, and ensure that our hospice services are delivered with empathy, professionalism, and excellence. As a dynamic leader in this role, you will coordinate volunteer efforts, develop training initiatives, and serve as a bridge between volunteers and the organization's mission to provide comfort and support. Your energy and leadership will directly impact the quality of care we deliver while creating a welcoming environment for volunteers to thrive. Responsibilities Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers through campus recruitment events and community outreach efforts Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, and ongoing engagement to ensure optimal coverage of hospice services Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs to prepare volunteers for their roles Supervise volunteer activities, providing guidance, support, and recognition to foster a motivated team Coordinate with social work staff to align volunteer efforts with patient care plans and family needs Utilize Salesforce and Raiser's Edge software to track volunteer data, manage communications, and generate reports on program metrics Lead public speaking engagements and social media management initiatives to promote volunteer opportunities and raise awareness about hospice services Qualifications Proven experience in volunteer management or social work, preferably within healthcare or hospice settings Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated leadership in managing teams or programs Excellent communication skills for public speaking, training sessions, and community outreach Experience with campus recruitment strategies and social media management to attract diverse volunteer pools Background in social work or related fields is highly desirable Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and professionalism Join us in making a meaningful difference!
