Life Enrichment Specialist Farwell Household Milford, MA Job Details Part-time $25 - $26 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Working with individuals with cognitive disabilities Developmental disability care assistance Working with adults with disabilities Accommodating special dietary needs Addressing dietary restrictions in food service Full Job Description We are seeking Individual Support employees part-time to join our team. Currently we have openings on Tues and Wed. Applicants can choose to apply for one or both of those days. We are supporting my 33 year old son at home with the aim of providing a structured day. We work to keep him engaged with activities that are meaningful to him while offering potential for growth, provide opportunity for skill building, and allow him to experience success. We need at least one other person to join our team and work with us and my son to support his program. Some activities that he is currently engaged in are meals on wheels deliveries, volunteering at the Restore, theater, developing a home business, and music therapy. He needs assistance with goal attainment, accessing the community successfully, skill development, and developing and following a schedule. He requires supervision and prompts to complete and stay on task and to access the community safely. The right individual will have experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities or be willing to learn, be patient, upbeat, love music, and be able to follow behavioral and food allergy guidelines (experience with food allergies is a plus). They will also be creative in finding activities that he would like to engage in. He loves Broadway musicals, singing, swimming, creative expression, and being active. We are currently in need of an additional person on Tuesdays.
