Regular Schedule:
34 Hours Per Week.

A vacancy exists in the Department of Health and Human Services, Community Based Services / Housing Stability.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Definition of ResponsibilityUnder general supervision, provides ongoing, planned clinical supervision to the staff of Homeless Services Programs, including Rapid Rehousing and Housing Counseling, as well as supervision of Social Workers at shelters and Baltimore County Detention Center. Examples of Essential DutiesProvides administrative supervision and grant management to Homeless Services programs. Be available for on-site supervision and consultation for difficult cases.

Provides monthly unit meetings and yearly retreats. Assesses the training needs of workers in the unit.

Oversees the assignment of clients and workload responsibilities. Assures the casework standards within the unit are upheld. Assures the completion of client assessments, case plans, case notes and client file documentation within COA and agency guidelines.

Coordinates service delivery and ensures cooperative working relationships with partner agencies within the government and community who serve the population.

Provides ongoing statistical and narrative reports documenting the delivery of services.

Works with Assistant Director regarding grant program management, including programming, fiscal, and grant reportingParticipates in County and State meetings as necessary.
Emergency Operations:
Participates, as needed, in the agency's mandated obligation to provide mass care and shelter under the direction of the County of State Emergency Operations Center.

Examples of Other DutiesRepresents the agency or program at meetings and conferences and on boards or committees. Participates in public relations and education regarding services provided. Performs other related duties as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Employees must maintain licenses and certifications throughout the course of their employment. Some positions require completion of an approved training program and must pass a competency test by the second training available after appointment to this classification. Some positions in this classification may be required to respond to emergency situations and work overtime with little or no notice.

Physical and Environmental ConditionsThe work of this classification is essentially sedentary but may include occasional walking, standing, and/or other limited physical activities. Some positions within this classification require traveling between work sites.

Medical Examination and Employment Background InvestigationApplicants selected for employment with Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screening and employment investigation, including, but not limited to criminal background, education certification and fingerprinting checks.
