Job Description

Position Summary The Shelter Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the activities of guests of the shelter, ensuring compliance with program rules and expectations, and ensuring the safety of guests and the security and sanitation of the shelter. Responsibilities
  • The Shelter Coordinator will provide direct program support to guests and work collaboratively with Community Service Providers to help ensure successful completion of Individual Housing Plan (IHP).
  • The Shelter Coordinator will be responsible for data entry in the HMIS Program.
  • The Shelter Coordinator will be responsible for weekly check-ins with guests and accurately documenting case notes.

Program Supervisor:
Answer telephone and route calls or messages to appropriate staff. Respond to in-person and telephone inquiries from the public. Ensures that intake and exit documentation is recorded accurately. Maintain guests sign-in/out log as well as all other logbooks and records. Maintain visitor protocol and follow daily log procedures. Receive, account for and secure all donations received during the shift, as well as provide donation receipts to donors upon request. Follow appropriate critical incident protocol and accompanying documentation. Maintain a comprehensive and accurate written record of events that occur during shifts, as well as thorough incident reports. Attend staff meetings and trainings as directed. Other Duties as assigned.
