Job Description
Housing Supervisor, Community Development Aid The Housing Supervisor serves the Guests and operations of Housing with direct supervision and guidance. This individual will support the work of the Sheltered Housing Director and the Housing Team. The Housing Supervisor will complete given tasks throughout every shift, while nurturing healthy relationships and fostering a community of love and acceptance. This person has the responsibility for the safety and accountability of all Guests during their shift. With grace and truth, this person will hold Guests accountable for completion of their tasks and assignments. The Housing Supervisor will maintain a culture where each person's dignity and value are recognized and esteemed. This individual will lead with a servant heart, humility, Christ-like love, and kindness. Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
- Immediately welcome and connect with each Guest. Assist with acclimation to the Sheltered Housing Program.
- Is a Christ-like example in attitude, conduct, and actions.
- Creates a friendly, supportive environment for all staff, volunteers, and guests.
- Support the Sheltered Housing Program, understanding how all aspects of the program and team members work together to achieve desired outcomes of growth and stability.
- Ensures that all operational tasks are completed during their shift: retrieves, sorts and delivers mail, fills toiletry requests, performs daily room checks, cleans rooms, and set up for new guests,
- Ensures that the program policies and procedures are always enforced.
- Supports and participates in ongoing quality improvement to enhance program operations.
- Prepares for and conducts intakes of new guests, including running the heat-treatment process.
- Monitors and holds guests accountable to all program requirements such as daily jobs, chef jobs, house projects, property maintenance, clean rooms, clean bedding/laundry, good hygiene, schedules, and completion of assigned tasks or goals.
- Conducts regular breathalyzing and drug screening.
- Assists with and facilitates meal processes.
- Keep accurate records using the communication log. Documents any behavioral or other program related concerns for the Assistant Director and or Case Manager to address later.
- Records any incidents that occur during your shift: Illness, injury, staff absence, etc
- Verbally transfers any pertinent and necessary information during shift changes.
- Reports and security, safety, or maintenance concerns for leadership.
- Fields all phone calls and leaves messages for staff or guests.
- Maintains supply inventory and place orders.
- Utilizes and prepares program forms for medications, house jobs, laundry charts, room checks, etc.
- Oversee the medication process.
- Learn and oversee the Paxton Keycard system: create keycards, delete and deactivate previous guest cards and lost cards.
- Attend all LIA meetings and Sheltered Housing meetings and trainings.
- Ensures 100% coverage of Sheltered Housing. As necessary, rotating with other staff to cover PTO, sickness absence, weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Assists leadership with any other duties assigned. Skills and Abilities

- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to change.
- Work efficiently as a team player, keeping the Sheltered Housing Team as their first team, facilitating unity and a loving environment.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Email, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience using office equipment, computers, printers, security systems, and multiple phone lines. Financial Compensation
- This is a part-time Supervisor role. Pay received bi-weekly. Reviews conducted at 90days and annually.
- Pay Range $17-$19/Hr. Schedule
- 25-30 hours per week with a flexible schedule that consists of second shift hours and weekends.
