Provide a safe, structured, and positive environment that aligns with the Formula for Impact plan and other key youth development strategies. Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate programming for teen members. Create an environment where teens feel respected, challenged, supported, and prepared for future success.KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Responsibilities): Create and facilitate a safe and positive environment Plan, organize, and implement engaging programming specifically designed for teen members Maintain active supervision of teens in the Teen Room at all times Foster a culture of respect, responsibility, and leadership Create opportunities for teen leadership, service, workforce readiness, and goal setting Support academic success, post-secondary planning, and career exploration activities Facilitate meaningful discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and real-world skills Establish clear expectations and hold teens accountable in a supportive manner Monitor attendance and room transitions Implement social and emotional learning strategies to ensure teens feel safe, heard, and valued Build strong, mentoring relationships with teen members Work with the Club Director and program staff to coordinate teen programming, special events, and partnerships Ensure a productive work environment by participating in evaluations annually to discuss knowledge and ability to demonstrate positive behavioral management and trauma informed care.Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in daily building clean up: overall facility housekeeping, program area, restrooms, kitchen and entry ways Participate in weekly Club staff meetings, monthly Organizational meetings and quarterly trainings which may include occasional weekends Participate in special programs and /or events as necessary for programming needs. This may include occasional weekends May be required to drive an organizational vehicle Other duties as assigned Handle and serve foodRELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff and volunteers, Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct and advise/counsel.External:
Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to promote the success of the Club and organization.SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Experience working with youth ages 13-18 Knowledge of youth development Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral challenges in a supportive and structured manner Ability to facilitate group discussions and leadership activities Ability to build mentoring relationships with teens CPR andFIRST AID
Certified or ability to be certified Valid StateID PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIORNMENT
