Residential Specialist - Shift MBCH Children & Family Ministries is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Residential Specialist - Shift to join our team in Peculiar, Missouri (near Kansas City). In this role, you will provide direct care and support to youth ages 9-18 living in our Residential Therapeutic Foster Care Group Homes. This position plays a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment while modeling Christian values and helping youth develop essential life skills. The Residential Specialist serves as a House Parent/Caregiver, offering guidance, encouragement, and daily support to the children and teens we serve. Primary Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to youth in care Foster positive relationships through effective communication and teamwork Support clients' health and wellness needs, including: Coordinating medical appointments Managing medications Addressing dietary and nutritional needs Ensure educational needs are supported and addressed Encourage spiritual growth through daily devotions, prayer, chapel attendance, and faith-based guidance Complete administrative responsibilities including: Documentation Incident reports Daily logs Meetings and communication updates Maintain a safe, structured, and positive living environment Qualifications MBCH Children & Family Ministries is a faith-based Christian organization; candidates should support and reflect the ministry's mission and values Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field preferred High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience in residential care, child welfare, or related human services field preferred Must be at least 21 years of age Valid driver's license required Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations Benefits Benefits Package valued at over $15,000 per year Comprehensive Medical for only $25 per month FREE Dental Insurance FREE Long-Term Disability FREE Life Insurance (3x Annual Salary) Employer-Paid Retirement Contribution equal to 10% of your annual salary with no employee match required (eligibility begins after six months of employment)
