We provide older adults with comprehensive programs and community-based services that enable them to live their best lives. Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to lead our volunteer engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in and a passion for community service. As the Volunteer Coordinator you will be responsible for managing robust volunteer programs and engagement. Duties include individual, corporate, and volunteer cultivation for increased engagement for older adults at Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. Responsibilities Recruits, schedules, and manages volunteer support for daily ministry needs, events, activity director support, residential companionship, and events while identifying new volunteer opportunities for ministry. Coordinates development of appropriate volunteer recruitment, recognition, retention, and motivational programs. Maintains Better Impact Volunteer Database to ensure information is accurate, able to provide accurate reporting of volunteer hours, demographics, and qualifications are met. Works closely with program managers and activity directors to provide well-informed, well-trained, and well-managed group of volunteers. Represents Catholic Charities Community team by building connections with businesses, parishes, schools, and groups, etc. Attends volunteer and community fairs to strengthen and promote outreach initiatives. Provide support at events; collaborate with activity directors, volunteers and communicates staff to achieve event success. Collaborates with Volunteer Coordinators from Catholic Charities Ministries and attends all volunteer connection meetings (in-person and virtual). Build a creative and engaging volunteer experience to support residents in wellness for all Cardinal Ritter Programs - in-residential, at-home senior outreach, Relatives Acting As Parents Program, etc. Write and manage the Cardinal Ritter volunteer newsletter and other items as needed. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in non-profit organization, working with volunteers, and community engagement. Excellent customer service and interpersonal relations Skills Required Organization and time-management skills. Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Publisher, Word). Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. Efficient Communication skills through phone-call, email, etc. Ability to work in a team environment while also being willing to work with diverse array of personalities under pressure and within deadlines. Strong team member that works well with coworkers, volunteers, and senior professionals. Ability to work in Better Impact - Volunteer Database, no previous training required but ability to learn.
