Because a Youth Partner has experienced similar challenges in their lives (lived experience), they can often engage and communicate with youth at levels parents and/or professionals cannot. They understand the lifestyles and culture of this population and how it feels to live with behavioral health challenges. Must have lived experience as a child or adolescent who had mental health or substance use disorder and experience in navigating the child and family-serving systems. Must be over 21 years of age and up to 32 years of age.
