Job Description

JOB Assist individuals in completing financial aid applications and facilitate the efficient operation of financial aid services for the College including Federal and State grants. Ensure that all components of human services related programs, including but not limited to the oversight of WIOA, childcare, SECU, and Golden Leaf grants programs, are administered in alignment with requirements of State and Federal regulatory bodies as well as those outlined by the College. Assist with information/orientation sessions related to financial aid. Assist with data collection for preparation of reports. Develop student correspondence and provide financial aid notification. Perform other duties as assigned. This is a daytime position with some scheduled evening or weekend work (before and/or after regularly scheduled hours) and local travel required.
Standard working hours:
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday-Friday Salary:
$3,120.00 monthly Start date: July 6, 2026 Closing date: May 31, 2026, or open until filled.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Associate degree or equivalent required. Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills, in addition to the ability to work with minimal supervision, required. Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Services, Accounting, Business, or a related area preferred. Knowledge of basic income tax preparation procedures preferred. Experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience with data entry preferred. Must possess North Carolina Notary licensure, or be willing to obtain it, at the cost of the College within 120 days of employment. Daytime position with some scheduled evening or weekend work (before and/or after regularly scheduled hours) and local travel required.

The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.
