Community Partners is seeking energetic, positive, upbeat professionals to join our team! The Supported Housing Specialist is responsible for implementing a Permanent Supportive Housing program to support eligible adults with a serious and persistent mental illness by working collaboratively with local housing authorities, other social service agencies, and property owners/landlords to develop and provide stable, affordable, and long-term independent housing opportunities through short and long-term subsidies such as Section-8 vouchers or other types of permanent housing. Works with a caseload of clients who reside in Strafford County who receive the Bridge's subsidy. These individuals may or may not be receiving mental health services from community partners. Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes: Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in the social sciences or human services field. One year experience working with special needs populations; experience can be substituted for formal education Ability to work flexible hours to provide on-call support and respond to after-hours concerns and emergencies Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job Valid driver's license, proof of adequate automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation required We offer: Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance 403 (b) Generous paid time off Supportive, collegial and flexible work environment All candidates must pass a background check which includes, but is not limited to, criminal and driving records.
