Youth Workforce Development Service Navigator

Youth Workforce Development Service Navigator Starbridge | Family and Youth Education Starbridge is seeking a Youth Workforce Development Service Navigator to support youth in achieving educational and employment success through individualized planning, coaching, and community connection. This role works closely with youth, families, schools, and community partners to help participants build independence, workplace readiness, and long term goals for the future. This is a community based role ideal for someone passionate about mentoring youth, workforce development, and helping individuals overcome barriers to success. Responsibilities Youth Support and Service Planning Build strong relationships with enrolled youth and their support networks Develop individualized service strategies focused on educational and employment goals Monitor progress and provide ongoing problem solving support to address barriers Maintain regular communication and provide monthly face to face meetings with youth Support youth with resume development, interview preparation, job applications, and workplace readiness skills Assist youth in exploring post secondary education and career opportunities Advocate for supportive services including transportation, clothing, and personal care items needed for workplace success Connect youth to services and supports aligned with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act youth program requirements Outreach and Community Partnerships Develop and maintain relationships with Rochester Works, school districts, youth agencies, and community organizations Conduct outreach and recruitment activities for youth in need of workforce readiness services Build relationships with local businesses to create work experience opportunities for youth Administrative Responsibilities Maintain complete and accurate documentation utilizing required systems Ensure eligibility and service records are updated and compliant Attend required trainings, workshops, and meetings related to WIOA programming Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred Two years of experience working with youth, young adults, or families of youth with disabilities preferred Skills Strong relationship building and communication skills Ability to work independently in community based settings Strong organizational and problem solving skills Knowledge of person centered approaches to service delivery Ability to collaborate with providers, families, and support networks Bilingual Spanish preferred Requirements Valid driver's license with reliable, insured vehicle Knowledge of community resources related to youth and families Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Some evening or weekend hours may be required Travel throughout Monroe County required Apply today to join a team committed to supporting youth, building opportunities, and strengthening our community.
