Job Description

Age-Friendly Project Coordinator- Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator Under administrative direction, is responsible for planning and adminstering a specific project or program for a City department. Serves as the administrative supervisor on projects or programs. Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews activities of subordinate personnel. Monitors the project or program's operating budget and assists in the annual preparation of same. Designs, implements, and monitors procedures utilized in program evaluation. Develops and secures commitments from other City departments and agencies to provide services to program participants. Provides technical assistance or reviews program policies and procedures. Maintains current information and oversees the preparation of project status reports. Prepares financial and narrative reports and program applications. Communicates project/program status and information to municipal officials and/or public and private entities. May supervise employees assigned to the respective project. Performs other related duties as required.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or Public Administration, Social Sciences, or closely related field preferred. Two (2) years of any equivalent combination of education, training and experience in program administration required. Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds. Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required. Additional Duties Organize and coordinate the recruitment of both older adult and younger volunteers for one-time events and ongoing volunteer opportunities. Develop and implement key volunteer initiatives, including the Age-Friendly Volunteer Snow Removal Program and the City Hall Ambassador Program. Collaborate with City of Cleveland departments to ensure volunteer coverage for city events and service opportunities. Assist in the development of training materials and facilitate volunteer training sessions. Maintain accurate volunteer records, including schedules and hours served. Provide timely updates and reports on volunteer activities to internal staff. Recommend strategies and develop plans for ongoing volunteer engagement and utilization. Assist in the development and implementation of a volunteer recognition program. Work collaboratively with Department of Aging staff, City departments, and community-based agencies to support service delivery. Help plan, coordinate, and promote educational programming tailored for diverse older adult populations. Maintain working knowledge of local social services, government, and community agencies serving older adults and individuals with disabilities. Attend and assist with community outreach efforts, including presentations and public events. Communicate effectively by phone, email, and in-person with volunteers, staff, and community partners. Demonstrate a commitment to engaging and supporting older adults. Utilize Excel and other tools to track data and analyze referral sources. Manage time effectively and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
