We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to join our growing team and help lead one of the most meaningful parts of our mission. Position Summary The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and supporting hospice volunteers while ensuring compliance with hospice regulations and agency standards. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our patients and families through meaningful volunteer involvement.
Responsibilities Include:
Recruit and retain compassionate hospice volunteers Coordinate volunteer orientation, training, and annual education Match volunteers with patients/families based on needs and interests Supervise and support volunteers in patient care and administrative roles Maintain volunteer records and documentation in compliance with
CHAP/CMS
guidelines Participate in IDT meetings and collaborate with the clinical team Develop volunteer recognition and appreciation activities Assist with community outreach and volunteer program growth Track volunteer hours and assist with cost savings reporting
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and organizational skills Compassion for hospice patients and families Experience in healthcare, volunteer coordination, social services, or community outreach Knowledge of hospice philosophy preferred Comfortable with public speaking, recruiting, and relationship building Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Why Join TruHeart Hospice?
