DESCRIPTION
BENEFITS Job Summary Advertises, facilitates, and evaluates volunteer opportunities for TCC students while supporting Career Services programming related to volunteerism and nonprofit engagement. Manages TCC's volunteer database and oversees data collection and reporting for Tulsa Achieves Volunteer Service and Career Exploration Hours. Builds and maintains strong relationships with community partners, targeting key agencies for meaningful service and service-learning collaborations. Develops and implements risk management policies for all volunteer outreach efforts. Collaborates with TCC stakeholders—including Career Services, Student Life, and academic departments—to ensure clear communication of volunteer policies, service expectations, and engagement opportunities. Essential Duties Serve as first point of contact for all student volunteer experiences college-wide. Serve as liaison between Service-Learning, Student Life, Career Services, and Tulsa Achieves Programs. Promote volunteer opportunities to students through social media, email, and other means. Consult with students about where to volunteer, volunteering protocols, and procedures. Track the number of student volunteer hours, both curricular and co-curricular. Manage TCC's volunteer database; conduct training opportunities as needed. Serve as first point of contact for student/community partners who have a concern or complaint. Develop community partner protocol for student/community partner complaints, including directing concerns/complaints to the appropriate individual; maintain database of concerns/complaints. Create and update a volunteer handbook for students. Serve on the Service-Learning advisory group. Collaborate with the Center for Creativity personnel in the coordination of a yearly Volunteer Fair ("Dare to Care"). Participate in committee/board work as needed, both at TCC and in the community. Collaborate with departments college-wide to enhance students' service-learning experiences. Coordinate and host the annual President's Volunteer Service Award ceremony. Support Career Services in the development and promotion of nonprofit internship opportunities for students. Assist Career Services with Tulsa Achieves programming and related student support efforts. Track and manage reports and data for Tulsa Achieves Volunteer Service and Career Exploration Hours. Collaborate with Career Services on event planning and communications efforts related to volunteerism, internships, and service-learning. Develop and implement on-campus volunteer opportunities, including crafting clear and engaging descriptions to maximize student involvement and participation. Perform other duties related to the position as required or directed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, Human Relations, Education, or a related field. Minimum one year of experience working in Higher Education or at a non-profit organization. Must enjoy community outreach, working with people, building relationships, and meeting new people. Effective communication, technology, and management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with data management software preferred.
