Hybrid Stabilization Housing Aide / Peer Navigator
for our Women's Stabilization House and Bridgeway Community Connect team!

Primary Purpose
The Hybrid Stabilization Housing / Peer Navigator position is responsible for supporting and caring for clients residing in Bridgeway's stabilization house as well as the Bridgeway Community Connect office. The Stabilization Housing Aid role includes assisting in the implementation of an educational and supportive environment, which includes safety and sobriety in the house. This role engages in positive and appropriate relationship-building with clients, resourcemunity partners, and co-workers. The person in this position is expected to support the agency's mission. Peer Navigator position (also known as "mentor") collaborates with the program Care Coordinators and supports treatment programs at Bridgeway Community Health. This person may be the first point of contact with iing clients, which requires a focus on developing supportive relationships. The mentor will help potential clients enroll in services and connect them with a clinician to assist with service needs. Advocacy andmunity education are other aspects of this role, which include providing information and resources tomunityanizations surrounding addiction treatment and referrals to services. The mentor will work in collaboration with care coordinators to provide a treatment team approach to clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Transports and apanies clients to activities outside of the stabilization houses safely and prudently (may be inpany vehicles and/or in personal vehicles with tracking for mileage reimbursement).
Assists in the day-to-day operation of the stabilization house by performing tasks as assigned by the program manager.
Develops and maintains a positive relationship with everyone served, provides monitoring, care, and support to clients in accordance with Bridgeway Community Health policies.
Assists and teaches individuals served to care for themselves in daily living tasks and social skills areas.
Prepares and serves meals as needed for holidays and events (as directed by our culinary services department and program supervisor).
Conducts hourly bed checks if working overnight.
Accurately documents the support provided in the client's electronic health record.
Attends weekly team meetings.
Counts and records equipment and food items for inventory.
Maintains ananized and clean work environment.
Assists with urine analysis as needed to assure the ongoing safety and sobriety of the stabilization house.
Demonstrates recovery practices through role modeling, including pro-social thinking and behavior.
Provides day-to-day coaching on these practices to clients.
Assists clients in securingmunity resources and support.
Connects clients to othermunity resources such as 12-step support meetings, medical/dental services, etc.
Assists the treatment team in documenting the progress of the client from intake topletion of the program, including coordination of services with criminal justice partners.
Facilitates mentor support groups or skills training groups.
Coordinates with team members andmunity partners to assist the care coordinator in developing specific treatment plans, interventions, strategies, and discharge planning.
Coordinates appropriate referrals and partners on follow-ups.
Collaborates with other service providers to ensure continuation of care.
Excellent interpersonalmunication skills and time management skills.
Ability tomunicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, manage time, and meet deadlines.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Attends staff meetings as a team member to identify and implement the quality of services.
Attends Bridgewaymittee(s) as a program representative.
Assists/coordinates food inventory and ordering for the house.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Experience, Education, and Credentials
Peer Support Specialist-Adult Addiction (PSS-AA) Certification with the Oregon Health Authority or Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) with the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) is required.
Typically requires a High School Diploma or General Education Certificate (GED).
Must possess a current Oregon Food Handlers card or be certified within two weeks of hire date.
Must be CPR/First Aid certified or be certified within two weeks of hire date.
Must possess a current and unrestricted Oregon Driver's License for at least the last 3 years with a clean driving record.
In addition to a high school-level education, preference is given to candidates enrolled in a college-level degree program and working towards gaining certification in a human services-related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check. Personal experience with addiction and recovery processes.
Must demonstrate knowledge of approaches to support others in addiction and recovery resiliency,petence in mentoring self-depicted recovery, andpetence in mentoring and transition integration services for clients in the criminal justice system.

Wage will depend on experience and credentials.
