Description Summary of Duties:
Family Service & Children's Aid Society is currently seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position as Drug and Alcohol Recovery Specialist. This position is primarily responsible for not only working with CYS but with any other type of in-home services such as New Beginnings, Early Head Start, Children Development Center and The Birthing Center. Duties will include but not limited to services within the following areas: outreach, intervention, coordination of care, casework activities, discussion groups, aftercare, follow-up and education. The work schedule varies and will include some evening and weekend hours based on program need. This position is located at the Agency's Oil City office located at 29 Pearl Ave., Oil City, PA 16301. This position reports directly to the Drug & Alcohol Program Director of Family Service & Children's Aid Society. This position also reports indirectly to the Executive Director of Family Service & Children's Aid Society.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Abilities:
High school diploma or GED. A college degree in the substance abuse area is a plus. Must possess an active Certified Recovery Peer Certification Must have a working knowledge of mental health and drug and alcohol systems. Must be free of illicit drug use and maintain and promote a clean, sober lifestyle. Computer, written/verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Acts 34-73-151 clearances; valid PA driver's license; and reliable transportation.
