Crisis Intervention Specialist - Full Time- Afternoon Shift Center for Community Resources Northumberland County, PA

Crisis Intervention services include telephone, walk in and mobile assessment; counselors provide brief crisis counseling, conflict resolution, referrals to community resources and enact involuntary commitments. Work in a supportive team environment while helping people access mental health/drug and alcohol services in Northumberland County. CCR's mission is connecting people to services. We offer an extra $0.75/hr shift differential for the evening and $1.50/hr. overnight shifts. Scheduling can be flexible. This gives you an opportunity to pick a schedule that best suits your needs/lifestyle. This creates a great work-life balance. However, you must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as crisis services are 24/7, 365 days a year. Speaking of work-life balance, please check out our great benefits listed below. We offer (to start) 20 days of PTO a year! The starting pay rate for this position is $21.54/hr . Crisis Counselors can work on call to respond to the community. The On-Call hourly rate is $23.00/hr and we pay a stipend of $300.00 per week when covering on call for one full week.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field. With major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, history, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, theology, political science or related field AND one year experience in mental health field required. Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Individuals who have accessed human services are encouraged to apply.

Must have a Bachelor's degree with major course work in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Anthropology, Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Theology, Nursing, Counseling, Education or a related field. (Degree/course work is Sociology, Social Work, Human Development and Psychology are strongly preferred) or Be a registered nurse or Have a High School diploma or equivalency AND 12 semester credit hours in Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Gerontology or other Social Science AND 2 years of experience in public or private human services with 1 year of mental health direct care experience (Associates degree with minimum of 12 semester credit hours in Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology and Human Development is strongly preferred) (2 years of direct mental health experience is strongly preferred)
Experience:
One year experience in Crisis Services or in the mental health field preferred with a bachelors degree. See experience requirements above for applicants without a bachelors degree.
Licenses, Certificates or Clearances:
Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances. Valid Driver's License. Car Insurance Coverage Verification.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, computer literate, knowledge of 302/201 process, and knowledge of PA resources.
Other Factors or Requirements:
